Charlie Murphy is Leroy Smith. If you're looking for a good laugh then watch this series of videos about Leroy Smith played by Charlie Murphy. Charlie is the brother of Eddie Murphy and you might remember him from Chappelle's Show. If you don't know the story, Leroy Smith was the last guy picked for Michael Jordan's high school varsity basketball team. He was the reason Jordan didn't make the team. From that point on Jordan would use that experience to motiviate himself to get better and become the best. To watch the series of videos use these links: Part 1 : Part 2 : Part 3 : Part 4 |

"This shoe is luxury." The Air Jordan 2009 was released in stores in at a retail price of $190.00. It's basically the Air Jordan 24, but since the Jordan company stopped numbering Air Jordans at "23" they are going to use the year as the name. The design was inspired by the art of Fencing. One comparison that can be made with the art of Fencing and the battles on the basketball court is that both require quick moves on offense and defense in order to win. The shoe features new enhancements such as a moisture-wicking interior, articulated Zoom Air in the front, and new propulsion technology in the back providing explosive cushioning. Two large foam inserts in the heel provide comfort and support for your Achilles tendon. The design in the cloud-like base is inspired by blown-glass and each shoe has a unique pattern. If you want a luxurious ride for your feet then this is your shoe. Click to order

Why did Michael Jordan wear the number 12? Pic1 : Pic2 : Pic3 : A lot of you may not know this story, but during a game in 1990 against the Orlando Magic someone snuck into the Bulls locker room and stole Jordan's "23" jersey before the game. Unfortunately the Bulls did not have a spare jersey, so they had to give Jordan a number "12" jersey with no name on the back. After that game the Bulls made sure to bring plenty of extra "23" jerseys to all future games to avoid having the same problem again. |

| Was it the shoes that helped MJ extend his career? Yeah. Michael Jordan credits the invention and use of the carbon fiber shank plate in his shoes for prolonging his basketball career and helping him avoid any serious injuries. The Air Jordan XI (the one with the shiny patent leather) was the first Air Jordan shoe to have a carbon fiber shank plate. The carbon fiber shank plate took pressure off his knees and arches, which is why MJ insists on having some form of shank plate in his shoes even to this day. |

Air-Mania DVD. Searching Amazon.com we came across a DVD called "Airmania." | Stop your shoes from squeaking. The Retro 10 and Retro 11 Low are prone to start squeaking after wearing them a few times. If you're having this problem you can try this: 1) Remove the insole; it's glued on so be careful removing it. 2) Pour some baby powder inside the shoe, then put the insole back in the shoe. We cannot guarantee this will stop the squeaking, but a lot of people who tried it said the squeaking has stopped. We're just passing along the tip. |

The story behind the Nike "swoosh" logo. Who came up with the infamous Nike "swoosh" logo? It was actually designed by a female Portland State University student who received $35 from the founder of Nike to create the logo. Yes, you read that right. A lousy $35. But after Nike became successful they decided to give her some stock in the company along with a gold Nike ring. The swoosh logo is supposed to represent the wing of the Greek Goddess "Nike" who was the Goddess of Victory. |

| Jordan almost became a New York Knick. In Spike Lee's book, Best Seat in the House, Spike tells the story of how in late 1996 he and MJ were talking after shooting a commercial together. Spike asked MJ if there was ever a chance he could have left the Bulls and gone to the Knicks. MJ said, "There was a chance." Spike couldn't believe it. MJ went on to say, "Before I signed with Chicago last year, after we won, it came down to 30 minutes. New York was right downstairs. The Bulls---all they had to do was mess up." What Jordan meant by that is if Jerry Reinsdorf, the owner of the Bulls, had made an insulting offer MJ would have walked away and signed with the Knicks. Thankfully, the Bulls offered Jordan $30 million for a one year contract and the legend continued. |

After the Bulls won Game 7....of the 1998 Eastern Conference Finals against the Pacers, a reporter suggested that the Utah Jazz might have an advantage over the Bulls in the Finals because of their extended rest. The reporter told Jordan, "They're rested, you guys are fatigued. But I know you'll be ready to play on Wednesday." Jordan quickly replied, "Our hearts are not fatigued. That's the most important thing." |

Nike Flightposite. It took Nike numerous years, millions of dollars, and a number of headaches to develop the innovative Foamposite material. They almost gave up on the idea after repeated failed attempts because it was so hard to manufacture. But when they finally got everything put in place in the mid 90's the final product was worth all the trouble. The Foamposite material feels stiff at first, but after wearing the shoe several times the heat generated by your feet allows the Foamposite material to shape itself and form a mold around the specific shape of your foot. Once that happens the shoe doesn't feel like any other shoe you've ever worn before.

| $700,000 worth of FAKES hidden behind toilet paper. U.S. Customs is taking a closer look at the containers entering our ports. A news article stated that U.S. Customs found a shipping container from China trying to enter the port in Oakland, CA. The container contained kitchen cabinets, but upon closer inspection a Customs Agent found thousands of FAKE Nike and Jordan shoes behind stacks of toilet paper. Click here to read the article. |

| Stores and websites that sell FAKES. Pic1 There are a ton of websites on the internet that sell Fake Air Jordans including eBay. Fakes have even made their way into neighborhood stores. If you find a store or website selling hard to find, older, or unreleased Air Jordans for really low prices (usually around $90) and they have a lot of sizes available that should tell you that something isn't right. Make sure you read everything on a website very carefully. If the website says the shoes are going to be shipped from overseas (usually China) then you're almost guaranteed to get Fakes. Remember, if it's too good to be true it usually is. Fakes are made in wacky, strange colors, but they're also made in the same colors as the original, authentic pairs, which makes them harder to spot. Some websites use pictures of authentic shoes, but end up sending you a Fake pair. Just use common sense. Nike is aware of the ongoing problem and they are trying to crack down on stores and websites that sell Fakes. They setup a special email address so you can report those stores. Send an email to COUNTERFEIT@NIKE.COM If a website is selling fakes give them the link to the website. If you know of a store in your area that is selling Fakes give them the name and address of that store. Nike will investigate and cooperate with the local Police to take further action, but don't expect an immediate result. |
