Scottie Pippen hybrid.Pic1 : Pic2 : Pic3 : Pic4 : Pic5 : Nike is using their "hybrid" idea on the Scottie Pippen line of footwear from the 90s. Last year they started with Penny Hardaway and created the Nike 1/2 Cent. This year they're going to release the Nike Air Max-A-Lot, which combines Scottie's shoes from 1996 and 1998. Look for them in the summer.

Jumpman Pro Strong (Retro).Pic1 : One of the original Jumpman shoes will be making a comeback this summer. The Jumpman Pro Strong was worn by Team Jordan member, Vin Baker. Four colors are scheduled to come out at a retail price of $120.

The see-through circle on the side of the shoe is gone and it features a reinforced toe to handle the abuse from the outdoor courts. Mississippi man charged with selling FAKES. "An investigator consultant with Nike informed police that the defendant was selling counterfeit Nikes. Undercover officers approached him...and bought a pair of what were supposedly Nike Shox for $50." They turned out to be Fake and Police confiscated 312 pairs of Fakes. If you have a store in your area selling Fakes please send an email to COUNTERFEIT@NIKE.COM and give them the name and address of that store so Nike can investigate.

LOUISIANNA - It's good to see Police stepping up their efforts against stores selling Fakes. Close to 3,000 pairs of Fake Air Force 1's and Jordans were seized by Police in August 2009. Why did Jordan wear the number 12?Pic1 : Pic2 : Pic3 : A lot of you may not know this story, but during a game in 1990 against the Orlando Magic someone snuck into the Bulls locker room and stole Jordan's "23" jersey before the game. Unfortunately the Bulls did not have a spare jersey, so they had to give Jordan a number "12" jersey with no name on the back. After that game the Bulls made sure to bring plenty of extra "23" jerseys to all future games to avoid having the same problem again.
Was it the shoes that helped MJ extend his career? Yeah. MJ credits the invention of the carbon fiber shank plate in his shoes for prolonging his basketball career and helping him avoid any serious injuries. The Air Jordan XI (the one with the patent leather) was the first Air Jordan shoe to have a carbon fiber shank plate. It takes pressure off of the knees and arches, which is why MJ insists on having some form of shank plate in his shoes even to this day.

Stop your shoes from squeaking. The Retro 10 and Retro 11 are prone to start squeaking after a while. If yours are squeaking try this: 1) Remove the insole; it's glued on so be careful removing it. 2) Pour some baby powder inside the shoe, then put the insole back. A lot of people who tried it said it stopped the squeaking.
The story behind the Nike "swoosh" logo. The logo was actually designed by a female Portland State University student who received $35 from the founder of Nike. Yes, you read that right. A lousy $35. But after Nike became successful they decided to give her some stock in the company along with a gold ring. The swoosh logo is supposed to represent the wing of the Greek Goddess "Nike" who was the Goddess of Victory.
$700,000 worth of FAKES hidden behind toilet paper. U.S. Customs is taking a closer look at the containers entering our ports. A news article stated that U.S. Customs found a shipping container from China trying to enter the port in Oakland, CA. The container contained kitchen cabinets, but upon closer inspection a Customs Agent found thousands of FAKE Nike and Jordan shoes behind stacks of toilet paper.
Stores and websites that sell FAKES.Pic1 There are a ton of websites, including eBay that sell Fake Air Jordans & Nikes. Fakes have even made their way into neighborhood stores. If you find a place selling hard to find Air Jordans for really low prices (usually around $70) and they have a full size run (8 through 13) available that should tell you that something isn't right. If a website says their shoes are going to be shipped from overseas (usually China) then you're most likely going to get Fakes. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true it usually is. Fakes are made in wacky, strange, unreleased colors, but they're also made in the same colors as the original, authentic pairs, which makes them harder to spot. Some websites use pictures of authentic shoes, but end up sending you a Fake pair. Use common sense. Nike is aware of the ongoing problem and they are trying to crack down on stores and websites that sell Fakes. They setup a special email address so you can report those stores. Send an email to COUNTERFEIT@NIKE.COM If a website is selling Fakes give them the link to the website. If you know a store that is selling Fakes give them the name and address of the store. Nike will investigate with the local Police and take further action.
